The program was prepared for mobile devices equipped with Java language. The program is available free of charge with minimum Polish <-> English dictionary.

Polish <-> English minimum dictionary is a perfect aid for persons learning English or Polish. It contains around 15.000 most required words and phrases. It can replace all kinds of phrasebooks as it is more flexible. The entries have been compared with other linguistic sources and checked by a linguist - a professional translator of English. Full Polish <-> English dictionary (about 80.000 entries) will soon be available according to separate rules. It is now freely available on the Internet at: www.lexitools.org.

Software installation on mobile phones

The program with the minimum dictionary forms a file (jar) close to size 512 MB. It requires MIDP2 standard. If you want to learn if you can install the software on your mobile see the pages on whitch you will find the necessary information.

1. Online installation. Access from your mobile to the Internet is required.

It is necessary to give Internet address of jad file of the program that you want to install (see the table below). Detailed information on installation procedure can be found in the documentation of your mobile phone. Most often it is enough to enter your Internet browser and give the name of the jad file (from the table below). The browser will read the information on the program and - if permitted (due to the specification of your mobile) - suggest program installation.

2. Offline installation.

Then it is required to have an adequate communication software for connecting a computer with your mobile phone (usually supplied together with your mobile on a CD). Tu podałbym typowe programy dla Nokii i Sony Ericsson (e.g. Nokia PC Suite or Sony Ericsson PC Suite i nawet dałbym linki do tych programów). Computers and mobiles must have the possibility to be connected via a USB connecting cable, Infrared port or Bluetooth.

• Download installation files and save it on your disc (e.g. on Windows desktop).

• Using the above mentioned interface the computer - mobile phone upload it into your phone. Usually the communication software integrates with a file browser and the phone is seen as another disc. In this case click on the installation file with the right button of your mouse and choose "Copy" and then on a chosen disc reflecting the memory of your mobile and choose "Paste".

• After copying installation files (*.jar and *jad files) into your mobile it is necessary to initiate their installation procedure.

Note! For installation purposes one jad and one jar files are required. Generally the programs do not differ functionally. However, a division has been done for optimization of certain functions.
