Manual for Mobile LexiTools 1.10. See also MobileLexiTools 1.10 - installation
. | After starting the program you can see the main screen with the field to enter the searched entries. The first time a short hint appears. There is a menu at the very bottom whose layout depends to a certain extent on a model of your mobile phone. When entering Polish letters on mobiles not fitted with such facility you can use # sign to inform the phone that the next letter is to be with a "hook" or "hyphen". E.g. g#l#od = głód. | | | When you enter the first letters of an entry the program looks for matching words in dictionary and displays the results below. You can use cursor to go down this list and choose one of the words. It will be transferred to the edit field. It is especially useful in mobiles that do not open a separate screen for edition. After entering the initial letters of an entry you can choose "Search" option from the menu. | | | A list of found entries in the dictionary is shown. You can view this list by movements of the cursor. On some mobiles (in which the list is displayed in one line) the entries are divided in two parts (for each language). On others one element of the list = one entry. In each case the entry beginning is marked with a colourful dot. On the menu of this screen you have only two options: choose (pointed entry) or Back (go back to the main screen). | | | Choosing an entry from a reviewed list permits displaying its details. It is extremely important with long entries which are not displayed on the list in complete form. Below the remembered text is displayed. This text can be completed and edited. It can be used as a basis for building an SMS (see further).
| | | If on the screen displaying details of an entry we execute the Save function, we have 4 possibilities: - Save and send: current entry is registered in text memory and we proceed to SMS screen
- Add entry and send: an entry is added to text memory and an SMS is sent
- Save and return: an entry is added into the memory (and you go back)
- Add entry and return: an entry is added into text memory (and you go back to text editing)
| | | Further entries added to text memory are divide with * sign. Polish part and English part are remembered separately. Text memory can be displayed from the menu on the main screen. You can also edit its contents.
| | | If you choose the function of sending (e.g. Save and send), a screen with SMS message appears (text consisting of both remembered linguistic versions) and a window for entering a phone number. Editing phone number to which you intend to send an SMS is done by means of standard mechanisms of your mobile phone and depends on its model. Choosing the function Send begins the sending process. | | | From among the menu functions on the main screen of the program it is worth to note the following: - search examples of use: displays only entries with examples (to mark them in the dictionary square brackets [ ...] were used)
- on the Internet - searching www.lexitools.org site
- settings: change of language direction
| | | In Settings you can change the interface language and/or the direction of dictionary search (Polish -> English or English -> Polish). Although the dictionary was based on the Polish version as the original one its reverse option can also be useful when translating from English to Polish. | |
