LexiTools server can be accessed by the communnicators using the Jabber protocol - for examlple GoogleTalk.

In order to get a translation of an English word from our *bot* it is necessary to:

key in the word into the dialog box of an IM (e.g. Google Talk) and press ENTER In order to get an English translation of a Polish word it is necessary to preceed it with the letter 'p' and ': (e.g. p:droga).

Bot searches a translation within the basic database of LexiTools dictionary.

If it is not found then the search is continued among the entries which have been searched earlier.

If this fails - a request is sent for aid in translation among the registered users at http://lexitools.org/portal who agree to that.

Communication with other users by means of the bot is anonymous.

The answers returned in this way are marked with a note [?anonim?] which suggests that those translations should be treated with reserve.
